Dad’s Donuts, 29 E. Moreno St., announced in a March 21 Facebook post it would close indefinitely March 22. The popular shop sold out by 11:23 a.m. that day — fitting for a bakery known for its 109-layer cronuts and loyal following.

The closure follows the sale of the building that houses the shop as well as general manager Mary Oreskovich stepping away for medical reasons.

Owners say they are searching for a new location that will allow them to maintain the quality customers expect, calling the move “not goodbye, simply a pause.”
