Visitors planning a trip up Pikes Peak can purchase timed-entry permits and shuttle tickets Wednesday to secure their spots on America’s Mountain for the 2026 season.

Launching in 2022, the timed-entry system was created to help manage traffic and parking on the summit.

“The timed-entry system and shuttle service help ensure visitors have a smoother, more enjoyable experiences from the Gateway to the summit,” said Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain Manager Skyler Rorabaugh.

Vehicles driving past mile 7 on the Pikes Peak Highway from May 22 through Sept. 30 will need a $2 timed-entry permit. All visitors must purchase admission along with vehicle permits. Tickets are $18 for adult and $8 for children with discounted vehicle rates available.

Shuttle tickets are also now on sale, with service beginning May 22. Tickets will be $40 for adults (16 and older), $12 for children (6-15), and free for children 5 and under. Tickets do not require a timed-entry permit. Riders will park at mile 7 and board the shuttle. The shuttle stops at Glen Cove (mile 13), Devils Playground (mile 16) and the Summit (mile 19). Service runs daily through Aug. 9 and shuttles arrive around every 30 minutes. Exceptions include June 20-21 for The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and weekend-only shuttles Aug. 9 through Labor Day.

All shuttles are ADA accessible and have bike racks.

“We encourage visitors to plan ahead and purchase tickets early to secure their preferred date and time,” said Rorabaugh.
