1 injured in Pueblo West hit-and-run crash Saturday

The Colorado State Patrol is asking the public for help as it investigates a hit-and-run crash in Pueblo West that sent a teenage girl to the hospital Saturday.

Troopers responded at about 2:30 a.m. to South Springmont Drive for a report of a 16-year-old who was struck by a vehicle while she was standing in the road, troopers said in a news release.

The teen was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The vehicle, believed to be a white Lexus sedan with no registration, fled the scene, according to the release.

The vehicle likely has front-end damage, including the hood, investigators said.

Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the State Patrol at 719-544-2424 and reference Case #2D260517.
