Paul McCartney doc, reality TV and ‘The Bachelorette’ among top streaming options

It’s only fitting that “Man on the Run” is a documentary presented in an unconventional way (think photos and illustrations that come to life and interviewees you hear but don’t see). It’s only fitting, because this is a documentary about perhaps the most unconventional of all Beatles. The title is also fitting; Paul McCartney indeed seemed to be on the run. The new movie takes you along for the ride after he left the band. Streaming on Amazon Prime. — Seth Boster

Reality TV’s most chaotic friend group returns with new cast members as Season 12 of “Vanderpump Rules” rolls out on Bravo with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock. The Season 11 premiere pulled in 3.2 million viewers in its first three days after the infamous “Scandoval” cheating scandal involving Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss. Expect messy relationships, lingering drama and plenty of chaos. — April Borjon

I love shows that break the fourth wall. In Netflix’s comedy-drama “Vladimir,” Rachel Weisz does just that, as a college writing professor who has lust at first sight for a new colleague played by Leo Woodall. Only trouble is he’s married, and so is she, though her husband, played by John Slattery, is in trouble for sleeping with college co-eds. The eight-episode limited series is based on the book of the same name by Julia May Jonas. — Jennifer Mulson

“Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul is making the crossover from one reality show to another when she takes on the role of leading lady on season 22 of “The Bachelorette.” The divorced mother of two has been a polarizing figure due to a number of public scandals, including a domestic violence arrest a few years ago. The season kicks off Sunday on ABC, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu. — Jennifer Mulson
