A 500-acre fire is burning in a training area on Fort Carson on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Mountain Post and Gazette news partner KOAA.

Fort Carson officials said there was no damage to buildings and no structures were threatened.

The Mountain Post said no injuries have been reported.
