Man allegedly runs from Colorado Springs police, bites sergeant during arrest

Colorado Springs police arrested a man they say bit a sergeant after running away from officers on Friday.

According to the Police Department, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance near Memorial Park when they spotted the man in the area of South El Paso and East Costilla streets.

Police said the suspect ran from officers, but a police drone was able to track him down.

Officers caught up to the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Johnny Corn, and arrested him. While being placed into custody, Corn allegedly bit a sergeant, police said.

Court records do not show Corn’s new case as of late Saturday morning. He has two prior misdemeanor domestic cases in 2025. Records show one was dismissed, and Corn pleaded guilty to third-degree assault.

Jail records show Corn was being held at the El Paso County jail on a no-bond hold.
