Raise a pint: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at these 10 Irish pubs in Colorado Springs
What better place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than at an Irish pub?
Several local Irish pubs across the Colorado Springs area will host events throughout the weekend and on the holiday itself. Festivities feature menu specials on Irish food, green beer and Guinness, live music, Celtic step dancing and beyond.
Here are 10 local Irish pubs hosting St. Patrick’s Day celebrations:
1. Abby’s Irish Pub
Where: 9697 Prominent Pt.
Abby’s Irish Pub will kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend on Friday, March 13, with live music from WireWood Station starting at 7 p.m.
The pub will also host a St. Patrick’s Day event beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. The evening will feature live music by the Pikes Peak Highlanders Pipes and Drums to close out the day’s celebrations.
2. Alchemy
Where: 2625 W. Colorado Ave.
Alchemy will open early on St. Patrick’s Day, beginning celebrations at 10 a.m. The bar will offer food and drink specials including a $20 corned beef and cabbage meal, $5 Guinness and $3 green tea shots.
A DJ set by Clark After Dark is scheduled for 8 p.m., and the event will include giveaways and music throughout the day. The venue will not charge a cover and will be open to all ages until 10 p.m.
3. Dublin House Sports Bar and Grill
Where: 1850 Dominion Way
Dublin House Sports Bar and Grill will host St. Patrick’s Day events Saturday and Tuesday.
Saturday’s “pre-game” event begins at 11 a.m., featuring bagpipers, karaoke, a DJ and food and drink specials, including green beer and $19.99 corned beef and cabbage.
Festivities on Tuesday, March 17 include bagpipers, karaoke, drink specials and an all-you-can-eat buffet for $25.99.
4. Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub and Restaurant
Where: 21 S. Tejon St.
Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub and Restaurant in downtown Colorado Springs, recently ranked No. 37 among the top 200 Irish pubs in the United States by BetUS, will host several St. Patrick’s Day weekend events.
The party started on Thursday, as Jack Quinn celebrated their 28th anniversary with birthday cake and music by The Sleeping Giants featuring Niall Twomey.
Events continue Friday evening with live music and continue Saturday, when the pub opens at 9 a.m. ahead of the city’s St. Patrick’s Day parade at noon. The Celtic Steps dancers will perform at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and the Pikes Peak Highlanders Pipes and Drums at 3 p.m.
Sunday will feature a family-friendly event from noon to 4 p.m. with live performances, a face painter and balloon artist and a Sunday roast.
The pub will open again at 9 a.m. Tuesday for Saint Patrick’s Day with music throughout the day on both floors.
Note that Jack Quinn’s does not offer discounts, happy hour or coupons during the holiday period.
5. Kelly O’Brians Sports Bar
Where: 239 S. Academy Blvd.
Kelly O’Brians Sports Bar will host a Tuesday celebration with food and drink specials. The menu includes corned beef and cabbage for $15 and Irish stew with soda bread for $10.
Drink specials include $3 green beer, $5 pints of Guinness and $6 Irish car bombs.
The pub also offers happy hour Fridays and Saturdays from 4 to 7 p.m., with $3.50 well drinks, $3.25 domestic draft beers and $1.25 wings. The bar opens at 11 a.m. and becomes 21 and older after 6:30 p.m.
6. O’Furry’s
Where: 900 E. Fillmore St.
O’Furry’s will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with events Saturday, March 14, including bagpipers and music from DJ Felix from 7 to 11 p.m.
The pub will offer corned beef and cabbage and drink specials throughout the day and night, including $3 Jameson, $5 Guinness and $5 Irish car bombs.
7. O’Leary’s Pub
Where: 4856 Galley Rd.
O’Leary’s Pub will serve corned beef and cabbage Saturday, March 14; Sunday, March 15; and Tuesday, March 17. The pub will also offer Guinness on tap and green beer.
As the pub marks its third anniversary, The Pikes Peak Highlanders Pipes and Drums are scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. O’Leary’s also hosts karaoke Saturdays from 5 to 9 p.m.
8. O’Malley’s Steak Pub
Where: 104 CO-105, Palmer Lake, 80133
O’Malley’s Steak Pub in Palmer Lake has operated for more than 40 years and is open every day of the year, weather permitting.
For St. Patrick’s Day weekend, the pub plans to serve green beer, corned beef and hash Saturday and offer “Lucky Charm” shots. The bar also features a machine that can print photos onto the foam of a Guinness.
9. Rilea’s Pub
Where: 5672 N. Union Blvd.
Rilea’s Pub will host a St. Patrick’s Day pre-game on Saturday, March 14. The pub will offer one free Jell-O shot for patrons wearing green and $8 pitchers of domestic beer.
The Pikes Peak Highlanders Pipes and Drums are scheduled to perform at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
10. Wyatt’s Pub & Grill
Where: 806 Village Center Dr.
Wyatt’s Pub & Grill will offer Irish food and drink specials Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, for St. Patrick’s Day.
Food options include corned beef and cabbage for $16.95, bangers and mash for $15.95, beef and Guinness pie for $16.95 and corned beef tacos for $13.45. Featured drinks include a 20-ounce Guinness for $9, Jameson Irish whiskey for $7.50 and a Baileys brownie sundae for $8.95.
For entertainment, the pub will have bagpipers and Celtic dancers on Tuesday.
Note that dining is first come, first serve, as no reservations can be made for Monday or Tuesday.
