In a bigger city, you might park along a neighborhood curb and stumble into a culinary experience. You don’t so much do that in Colorado Springs. But then there’s Stellina Pizza Cafe. 

Smack dab between houses in the Mid Shooks Run neighborhood, I recently stumbled in for some of the best pizza and pasta I’ve had in the Springs. It’s the kind of freshness and flavor you’d find at some higher-priced, reservation-expected restaurant. But Stellina keeps it casual ー order up front and find a seat. Bonus points for the house-made gelato.
