A family and another resident were displaced after a fire broke out then spread to three fifth-wheel RVs at a Colorado Springs mobile home park overnight.

The fire was sparked at the Northwoods Village Mature RV mobile home park near Fillmore Street and Cascade Avenue sometime after midnight Tuesday, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

Firefighters “quickly” knocked down the fire, the Fire Department reported. No occupants were injured, but a dog was killed, said department spokeswoman Ashley Franco.

Two of the fifth wheels were uninhabitable, displacing one resident and a family of three.

The fire’s cause is under investigation.
