67-year-old identified in fatal Colorado Springs crash

A 67-year-old who died in a Colorado Springs hospital after a single-vehicle crash has been identified by the El Paso Coroner’s Office.

Michael Davis, was struck by his vehicle Feb. 26 after it started to roll down a hill between Crestone Lane and Motor World Parkway, the Colorado Springs Police Department said in a news release Tuesday.

Davis was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The Police Department’s Major Crash Team is further investigating the crash, but no other details were made available.

“Initial details were unclear due to the nature of the scene and early reports,” the Police Department’s release stated.

Davis was the seventh traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year. At this same time last year, there were two.
