Stolen SUV, narcotics recovered in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police recovered “felony amounts” of narcotics from a stolen SUV found on the city’s southeast side.

Detectives from the Colorado Springs Police Department found the stolen 2013 Acura RDX Friday evening in the 3600 block of Airport Road, according to an online blotter entry.

Police attempted a traffic stop, but a man in the SUV drove off. The stolen vehicle was later located at a nearby apartment complex.

The driver, identified as 33-year-old Nicolas Robert, was arrested.

Police did release the exact amount of narcotics found inside the SUV Colorado law considers a minimum of four grams of a Schedule I or Schedule II drug a felony.
