The Fort Carson Fire Department responded to a fire in a training area Wednesday morning visible from nearby highways.

A Fort Carson spokesperson said that city and county partners have been supporting the base’s fire department to contain the roughly 350-acre fire.

“No injuries have been reported and no infrastructure has been impacted by the fire,” the Fort Carson official said.

Smoke from the fire remained visible from Colorado 115 and Interstate 25 into Wednesday afternoon.
