The Colorado Springs Switchbacks clobbered visiting Union Omaha in the club’s first home preseason match on Saturday. 

New forward Adrien Perez scored twice as the Switchbacks rolled to a 4-0 win over the USL League One team. 

Perez, who previously played for Louisville CIty FC before joining Colorado Springs in the offseason, scored eight minutes into the match off a free kick. He earned a brace with a second goal in the 43rd minute. 

Griffin Price, who plays for Switchbacks II, made it 3-0 Colorado Springs with a goal in the 49th minute. He took a pass from forward Kyle Vassell and finished from inside the 6-yard box. 

Vassell scored a goal of his own four minutes later to round out the day for Colorado Springs.

Following the team’s closed match against the University of Denver on Sunday, the Switchbacks will host their final preseason game against Sacramento Republic FC on Feb. 28.
