Concerts, exhibits, theater around Colorado

Bad Omens: The metalcore band brings its “Do You Feel Love” tour to Denver for a performance at Ball Arena, 1000 Chopper Circle, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. In 2022, the group from Richmond, Va., hit big with its single “Just Pretend” off its third album, “The Death of Peace of Mind.” Tickets range from $78 to $360; ballarena.com.

“The Disappearance of Thomas Riha”: Riha was a Russian history professor at the University of Colorado when he disappeared in 1969 during the Cold War, never to be seen again. An exhibit at History Colorado Center explores the vanishing. It’s up through March 15, 1200 N. Broadway, Denver, $20, free for kids; historycolorado.org.

“Water for Elephants: The Broadway Musical”: The 2023 musical, based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Sara Gruen, follows the life of a young man orphaned during the Depression who runs away with a traveling circus. It runs through Sunday at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, 1000 14th St., $47-$130; denvercenter.org.

Colorado Symphony: The symphony will perform Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Olga Kern and Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 this weekend at Boettcher Concert Hall at Denver Center for the Performing Arts, 1000 14th St. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, $15-$151; coloradosymphony.org.

Icelantic Winter on the Rocks: Rapper BigXthaPlug will headline the rap- and hip-hop-centric show that was initially scheduled to be played outside at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
