Fresh off his fifth overseas tour entertaining United States military personnel, comedian Steven Briggs brings his high-energy stand-up to Loonees Comedy Corner at 1305 N. Academy Blvd. for a weekend of late-night laughs.

For months, Briggs has been performing in Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq and Italy, among other stops around the world. Now, Briggs will put the international laughter on pause to give Colorado Springs a taste of his off-the-wall comedy. 

Briggs takes the stage for a pair of shows Friday (7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.) and Saturday (7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.). 

Known for his fast-paced delivery, sound effects and character-driven act-outs, Briggs blends personal anecdotes with sharp crowd energy in an effort to keep audiences on their toes.

The California-based comedian has been featured on TruTV’s “Laff Mobb’s Laff Tracks” and Hulu’s “Coming to the Stage,” and Briggs recently announced an upcoming appearance in a Netflix comedy project. 

You may have also spotted him in commercials for ESPN, Google, Mountain Dew and Call of Duty, among others. Before attending the show, fans can find his comedy album, “Whiskey Dick,” on iTunes, Apple Music or Spotify. 

Tickets are available for $12 for each show. The following weekend, Loonees Comedy Corner keeps the laughs rolling with Taneshia “Just Nesh” Rice performing Feb. 27-28.
