Colorado Springs police saw domestic violence and a robbery last week, among other offenses, with law enforcement making 339 arrests in El Paso County.

From Feb. 8 to Feb. 14, the Colorado Springs Police Department posted four blotter entries to its public database of incidents approved for release. Here is a recap of those entries:

On Sunday, Feb. 8, 24-year-old Bredin Perez Ramos was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, among other traffic charges, after he failed to execute a left-turn and struck an occupied police cruiser head on. The collision was at low speed, but the officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital.

Also on Feb. 8, an officer working an extra-duty shift at a local Walmart attempted to stop a shoplifter, when the suspect fled and eventually assaulted the officer while being detained. Two bystanders aided in the arrest, and the suspect, Ryan Valdez, was arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and shoplifting.

On Thursday, a masked male entered a business in the 1800 block of North Circle Drive and used a handgun to demand money and Colorado Lottery scratch tickets from an employee. The suspect fled and headed north with an undisclosed amount of cash, the lottery tickets and a cordless landline. No arrests have been announced.

On Friday, a 20-year-old male called police dispatch and reported that his mother pulled a gun and shot his father. When police arrived, they learned the caller’s father was in good health, and no shots had been fired. A pistol was recovered at the scene and the caller’s mother, Afeion Morris, was arrested on domestic violence-related charges.
