Pikes Pick: Jackson Hole offers second annual bird festival

One of the best things about an out-of-state bird festival is the chance to see different species than the ones in the Pikes Peak region. Not that we don’t love our birds, but it’s always fun to spot something new.

The Jackson Hole Birding Festival, in Jackson, Wyo., promises not only beautiful landscapes in the Greater Yellowstone region, but more than 300 bird species, more than 30 tours and experiences, and presentations on bird and wildlife science and conservation work.

Registration for the May 27-30 festival is open now. Tickets are $189; jacksonholebirdingfestival.com. – Jennifer Mulson, The Gazette
