Pink drinks, sweet treats and a lineup of women-owned businesses will take over downtown Colorado Springs as a Galentine’s Market pops up Saturday, Feb. 14.

Hosted by Sip & Savor, a mobile beverage cart business co-owned by Brianna Adrian and Joanie Dorn, the market runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 514 S. Tejon St., swapping typical candlelit dinners for a reason to gather with friends who deserve a little love, too. 

The event brings together Colorado Springs’ small business scene, ranging from custom cookies and handmade gifts to photo booths, pet treats and nail services. 

“We brought together a group of vendors that we love, making sure that there would be a good variety of products and services for people to browse and shop,” Adrian said. “We wanted it to feel like a fun girls’ morning out, with yummy coffee, treats and some pampering.”

Participating vendors include When Candy Met Chocolate, Martini Moment Photo Booths, Long Dog Treat Co., Macs Elevation and Polished Peak Nail Boutique, among others.

“We will have a special Galentine’s menu for the event with some fun pink drinks,” Adrian said. “We will also be selling our coffee and flower duos, which are super cute and fun for the occasion. We love connecting with our community and making special drinks that fit the theme.”

Caitlin Zinke, owner of custom sugar cookie vendor Sweet Summit, said in-person events are about more than just sales. 

“These events allow for genuine connection, both with customers and with other small business owners,” Zinke said. “They’re a huge part of why I love what I do.”

Sweet Summit will offer a variety of Galentine’s-themed treats at the event, introducing two brand-new flavors: cookies and cream and strawberry lemon. 

“I love creating mini works of art that are just as delicious as they are beautiful,” Zinke said. “Custom sugar cookies add a special touch to any celebration, and I love being a part of those meaningful moments.”

Another vendor, Magical Luna Designs, will offer attendees a Valentine’s date that requires no small talk, only curiosity: a blind date with a book.

“A blind date with a book is a fun and creative way to discover a new read without judging it by its cover,” owner Tracy Lukins said. “Each book is wrapped to keep the title and author a surprise and includes a few hints about the genre, themes or overall vibe. Many blind dates also come with thoughtful extras, like bookmarks, stickers, tea or other themed goodies that match the story, making the experience feel like a cozy, curated gift.”

The morning market leans into the sweeter side of February, where love comes served in to-go cups, cookie boxes and inside the pages of a book. 

“The vendor lineup Sweet & Savor put together is incredible,” Zinke said. “Being surrounded by so many talented, inspiring women makes this event extra special.”
