A pickup truck crossing South Academy Boulevard on a road near Fountain Boulevard was “t-boned” by a motorcycle on Friday, killing the rider and injuring the truck driver, according to a blotter entry by Colorado Springs police.

The crash was reported around 1:45 p.m., and the motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries on the scene despite life-saving measures by emergency responders.

CSPD’s major crash team is investigating the matter. Speed is a “possible factor in the investigation,” according to the blotter entry.
