Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by train: Colorado Springs police
A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries on Sunday after being hit by a train in Colorado Springs, according to an online police blotter entry.
Just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, police received a call from BNSF Railroad about a pedestrian being hit near Mesa Road and Cache La Poudre Street, near Monument Valley Park. Responders found an injured person at the scene and transported them to a nearby hospital. Officials did not release the pedestrian’s name, age or gender.
Railroad traffic was halted while investigators reviewed the incident. The area was clearly marked “No Trespassing,” police said.
