Colorado Springs police are investigating a stabbing that sent a person to the hospital Sunday.

Officers were sent just before 6 a.m. to the 2600 block of Verde Drive for a report of a disturbance, according to an online blotter entry.

They spoke with a person who had been stabbed several hours earlier in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of South Circle Drive.

Medics took the victim to a hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
