Hunter uninjured after kayak capsizes at Lake Pueblo State Park
A man hunting from a kayak at Lake Pueblo State Park capsized on the park’s northern shore in 38-degree water on Monday afternoon, according to a post on social media by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
CPW officers and Pueblo West firefighters responded to the incident near the old boat ramps by Annie’s Cove, but the licensed hunter maintained control of his firearm and drifted his way back to shore.
The man did not require medical transport from a waiting ambulance, and he was cited by officers for not wearing a required lifejacket.
