For 80 years now in Denver, The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, Autograph Collection, 321 17th St., has hosted its beloved Annual Steer Day, returning JFriday. The longtime tradition coincides with the National Western Stock Show, showcasing the year’s Grand Champion Steer in one of Denver’s most elegant settings.

The furry, 1,000-plus-pound celebrity will make a grand entrance down a red carpet into the hotel’s iconic Atrium Lobby, presiding over afternoon tea in a charming juxtaposition of Western heritage and refined hospitality.
