The Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public’s assistance in a hit-and-run investigation that left one person injured near Security-Widefield.

According to the agency, a 55-year-old man from Colorado Springs was found injured and lying in the right turn lane of Security Boulevard, north of Main Street, just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Colorado State Patrol said the man’s injuries were “consistent with being struck by a vehicle,” but no driver or vehicle was on scene when officers responded.

The driver and vehicle has not been located a month later, and no arrests announced.

The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crime Unit is now leading the investigation of this crash, the agency said in Wednesday news release.
