A public hearing on the city of Colorado Springs’ 2026 Annual Action plan that guides federal housing and community development funds will be held to seek input from the public.

The city will host the hearing in the City Administration Building in room 102 from 6 to 7 p.m. on Jan. 7, according to a news release by the city on Wednesday. Virtual and call-in options, which are available on the city’s website, will be available for the hearing.

The action plan is part of the city’s federal planning framework and identifies how to improve housing stability and community vitality by using U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development resources, according to the release.

The 67-page drafted plan highlights agencies, goals, projects and opportunities for the city through the utilization of HUD funding.

The public comment period for the plan opened on Dec. 16 and closes on Jan 15, according to the city. The city council is set to be presented with a draft of the plan on Jan. 26 and will vote on Feb. 10.
