Colorado Springs police saw a homicide, gun violence and arson last week, among other offenses, with law enforcement making 330 arrests in El Paso County.

From Dec. 14 to Dec. 20, the Colorado Springs Police Department posted 15 blotter entries to its public database of incidents approved for release. Here is a recap of those entries:

On Sunday, Dec. 14, a CSPD sergeant found a semi-truck cab fully engulfed in flames in a parking lot in the 2500 block of Gunnison Street, leaving a large plume of black smoke in the sky. The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire before it spread, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

On Monday evening, police responded to a call for an “urgent assist” in the 1600 block of Lorraine Street. When they arrived, they found a deceased female, who has since been identified as 42-year-old Jessica Keller. Police are investigating Keller’s death as a homicide.

Also on Monday, just before midnight, police received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the 1000 block of Moffat Circle. When officers arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound. Police say the victim is expected to survive, and no arrests have been announced.

On Wednesday, an off-duty officer was rear-ended in his personal vehicle by a male driving with fictitious license plates. Investigation revealed he was using another male’s identity, and allegedly had “numerous” stolen IDs, forged documents, stolen mail, burglary tools and narcotics in his possession. After his identity was recovered, police found that the suspect, Matthew Langford, had several warrants for his arrest.

On Thursday, police arrested Demetri Medina, 32, after he allegedly set a structure fire at 3170 N. Century St. The fire was knocked down by firefighters 45 minutes after their arrival and required additional units and resources to extinguish it. The structure fire produced heavy smoke that was “visible across Colorado Springs.” Police say Medina faces multiple felony arson charges.

On Friday, police used a K-9 unit to arrest a man being investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service southern Colorado task force with several warrants for his arrest. When police attempted to contact the suspect, Angel Pena, 36, he attempted to flee on foot, retrieving a handgun from his waistband. K-9 Riggs was then deployed and dislodged the handgun, assisting in Pena’s arrest.

On Saturday, police responded to a domestic dispute in the 600 block of Erie Road. When they arrived, they found a male victim with a stab wound, who was taken to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Agustin Sanchez Flores was arrested and faces several domestic violence-related charges.

More incidents at a glance:

• On Sunday, Dec. 14, one juvenile and one man were treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds after an altercation at an overnight car meet in southeast Colorado Springs. No arrests have been announced.
• On Wednesday, police posted a notice about a sexually violent predator moving into the community. Mitchell Wayne Bishop, 66, is registered as transient.
• Also on Wednesday, police arrived at a residence near the Old North End with an arrest warrant for Jordan Kroeckel for a domestic dispute that happened the day prior. When officers arrived, Kroeckel barricaded himself in the residence. Several police units responded, including a K-9 officer, to assist in the arrest without further incident.
• Also on Wednesday, police responded to an active burglary at a residence in the 3600 block of West Colorado Avenue. When they arrived, the suspect, Joshua Schaefer, attempted to leave and allegedly “shoved” the officers, causing minor injuries to one of them. Police say Schaefer had stolen mail in his possession and faces felony assault and burglary charges.
• On Thursday, police investigated a residential and motor burglary that occurred in the 2500 block of Tenderfoot Hill, and they identified the suspect as 24-year-old Dylan Hickman. When officers attempted to stop Hickman while driving, he fled at a high speed, eluding police. Hickman was arrested later that day, and a handgun with a missing serial number was recovered.
• Also on Thursday, an explosive device was reported after a “suspicious package” was found near Indianpipe Circle and Westwood Drive. The intersection was closed until the package was investigated and found to be safe.
• On Friday, police responded to a domestic disturbance, and when they arrived, they found the subjects involved to have serious bodily injuries and both were taken to a hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
• Also on Friday, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Voyager Parkway and Cypress Semi Drive. The pedestrian was unresponsive and taken to a hospital. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperative. Police say alcohol, drugs and excessive speeding were not factors in the crash.
