Colorado Springs police identified the victim of a homicide on Monday in the 1600 block of Lorraine Street as 42-year-old Jessica Keller, according to a news release from the department on Thursday.

Police had responded to the area around 9 p.m. for an urgent assist call for service and found Keller deceased inside the residence.

There have been 30 homicides in Colorado Springs year-to-date, and there were 40 at this time last year, according to the release.
