Man arrested for crimes against Fountain and Missouri children
U.S. Marshals arrested an El Paso County man on four counts of statutory sodomy of a person less than 12 years old on Monday, according to a news release by the Fountain Police Department.
Police are seeking additional witnesses or victims of the crimes allegedly committed by the suspect, 41-year-old Eric Mundy, who moved from Fountain to the Lorson Ranch neighborhood in unincorporated El Paso County over the summer.
The investigation is partly in conjunction with the police department in Lebanon, Mo., where Mundy is also believed to have committed similar crimes, according to the release. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Colorado Department of Corrections were also involved.
Mundy is being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center with no bond. His first court date is on Wednesday, according to his booking detail.
