Pedestrian killed on I-25 identified as 31-year-old
The Pueblo County coroner identified the pedestrian killed along Interstate 25 on Tuesday as 31-year-old Flor Granillo, according to a news release by the agency.
Two pedestrians had exited their Honda Civic after striking the highway barrier in a single-vehicle crash when another vehicle hit both of them around midnight in the southbound lanes between Pueblo’s MLK Jr. Bypass and 13th Street.
Police have not described the vehicle that fled. The surviving injured occupant is cooperating with Pueblo police, according to a news release by the department on Thursday.
The crash caused Interstate 25 to be shut down through Wednesday morning during the investigation and cleanup.
There have been 21 traffic fatalities in Pueblo this year, according to the release.
