Pueblo County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Pueblo West man after he allegedly robbed a car wash on Wednesday, according to a news release.

Douglas Campbell, 59, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated motor vehicle theft and vehicular eluding.

Around 9:45 a.m., deputies received a report of a man demanding money and threatening to shoot a person while at a car wash on Mallon Drive, according to the release.

Campbell allegedly went through the victim’s car and took a bag. The release stated that the suspect then fled in a 2011 black Ford Fusion that was reported stolen earlier Wednesday morning.

Deputies responded to a report of a man in a black Ford Fusion acting suspiciously in the parking lot of an urgent care clinic and were unable to stop the vehicle before it fled into oncoming traffic.

A state trooper later found Campbell on the side of a road with a flat tire and arrested him without incident, according to the release.
