As Wyatt Hendrickson’s wrestling worlds collide, he’ll have a front-row seat to the action.

Air Force wrestling will host Oklahoma State at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Clune Arena with Hendrickson scheduled to attend the competition and sign autographs after the dual. The heavyweight competitor wrestled at both schools and competed for Air Force from 2020-24 where Hendrickson amassed a plethora of accomplishments.

During his four seasons with the Falcons, Hendrickson became the first Air Force All-American wrestler since 2003, achieved 100 career wins in his final match at Air Force in 2024, led the nation in pins for three consecutive years and earned two third-place finishes at the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

In his lone season at Oklahoma State for the 2024-25 season, Hendrickson finished 27-0 and defeated Olympic gold medalist, two-time NCAA champion and Minnesota heavyweight Gable Steveson. Hendrickson ended Steveson’s 70-match win streak with a 5-4 finals decision at the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships in March.

The second lieutenant also won the coveted Dan Hodge Trophy –- and was the third wrestler in OSU history to earn the trophy after Steve Mocco in 2007 and Alex Dieringer in 2016. The Dan Hodge Trophy is awarded to top wrestler in the nation. Out of 59 votes, Hendrickson earned 30 to narrowly beat Penn State’s Carter Starocci with 26.
