At least three Colorado Springs businesses were damaged by gunfire Sunday in what police suspect was a shootout, law enforcement officials said.

At about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call about broken windows at businesses at the Astrozon Plaza in the 3700 block of Astrozon Boulevard, police said. Evidence at the scene suggested that gunfire had caused the damage.

A similar incident occurred in the same shopping center last Sunday, according to police.

It is not known if anyone was injured in the suspected shootout, officials said. The investigation is ongoing.
