A person is in the hospital with minor injuries after a fire broke out at a mobile home near Old Colorado City early Thursday morning.

The blaze started just after 7 a.m. at 1339 Arch Street and engulfed the home then spread to another one before firefighters could knock it down, the Colorado Springs Fire Department reported on their X account.

The Fire Department reported about an hour later that the fire had been fully extinguished. Minimal damage happened to other homes.

No information on what caused the fire has been released.

“Please continue to avoid the area as fire crews are overhauling the area and picking up hose,” the Fire Department said in its latest X post.
