Colorado College hockey didn’t play a game last weekend, but the Tigers still moved up in the USCHO rankings released on Monday. 

CC moved to 15th in the USCHO poll, up one spot from No. 16 last week. The Tigers also moved up in the USA Hockey poll, now ranked 16th instead of 17th. 

While CC was resting this past weekend, the other teams in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference were busy. None more so than Minnesota Duluth, which jumped eight spots in the USCHO poll to No. 10 after sweeping then-12th-ranked Minnesota at 3M Arena at Mariucci, home of the Golden Gophers.  

Defending league and national champion Western Michigan dropped from second to third after splitting a home-and-home series with Michigan. The North Dakota Fighting Hawks remained at No. 8 after a split at Clarkson. 

Tigers’ rival Denver moved up from No. 7 to No. 6 after splitting the games of an East Coast road trip. The Pioneers beat then-ninth-ranked Boston College on Oct. 24 and fell at Northeastern the following evening. 

This weekend, CC begins conference play, hosting Omaha at Ed Robson Arena.
