Fatal Friday morning crash causes delays along I-25 near Fountain

A man is dead from a single-vehicle crash that happened Friday morning along Interstate 25 near Fountain.

The crash occurred along northbound I-25 near the Santa Fe Avenue exit by mile marker 128 shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to the Colorado State Patrol. A pickup truck towing a camper reportedly rolled into the center median.

The driver, who was the only occupant, died on scene.

Both the northbound and southbound left lanes of I-25 are closed as of 8:30 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation website. A State Patrol spokesperson said responders are working to clear the scene. Expect delays in the meantime.
