A small grass fire broke out in a Fort Carson designated training area on Tuesday, an official told The Gazette.
Crews are aware of the fire and monitoring the situation, which is far from residential areas. The fire reportedly began around 2:40 p.m., according to the federal government’s National Interagency Fire Center map.
The official was unsure when the fire began or how long it may continue to burn.
