The numbers are stacking up for No. 19 Colorado College hockey. 

Three players scored their fourth goals of the season, sophomore defenseman Seth Constance scored his first-career goal, rookie left wing Tomas Mrsic recorded two assists for his first-career points, and the Tigers raced past Northern Michigan 5-2 for their fourth-straight win and second-consecutive weekend sweep on Saturday.  

CC’s (5-1) top line continues to sizzle as both sophomore center Owen Beckner and junior right wing Bret Link earned their fourth scores of the season at the Barry Events Center in Maquette, Mich. Beckner scored CC’s final tally on the power play at 16:40 of the third period. The score was Beckner’s second point of the evening after he assisted Link with his power-play goal at 9:14 of the opening period. The tally marked Link’s fourth goal in five games.  

Tigers junior center Klavs Veinbergs also joined the four-goal club on Saturday, scoring the only goal of the second period at the 11-minute mark. Veinbergs, Link and Beckner all pace the Tigers in goals scored this season. 

Constance scored the first goal of the game on Saturday, beating Wildcats (0-6) netminder William Gramme from the right point at 6:37 of the opening period. Constance earned a second point, assisting Beckner on his power-play goal.

Tigers junior right wing Riley Stuart rounded out CC’s scoring, netting the team’s fourth goal at 11:04 of the final frame. 

CC senior goalie Kaidan Mbereko made 28 saves in the contest, and the Tigers outshot the Widlcats 34-30.

The Tigers will be on bye next week, hoping to get some players back from injury. On Friday, rookie left wing Wilson Björck suffered an upper-body injury, which kept him out of Saturday’s lineup. CC is currently without defensemen Max Burkholder and Philippe Blais-Savoie as well.
