Man arrested after allegedly firing gun at car on I-25 during road rage incident
Castle Rock police arrested a man after he allegedly fired a gun at another car on Interstate 25 on Saturday, according to a news release by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was initially reported to the El Paso County communications center around 7:30 p.m. from someone claiming the driver of another vehicle on northbound I-25 shot at them during a road rage incident.
As the vehicle containing the alleged shooter traveled into Douglas County, its license plate number and description were given to Castle Rock police to conduct a stop, according to the release.
Officers discovered a pistol during the stop, and the driver, Allen Casias, 60, allegedly admitted to brandishing it during the road rage incident.
Casias was charged with felony menacing and was being held at the El Paso County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
