Colorado Springs Switchbacks’ match against Charleston Battery postponed

Do-overs are rare in the world of sports, but Switchbacks will get one in a couple of days.

Colorado Springs’ match at Charleston on Saturday was postponed until Monday due to unplayable conditions at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The kickoff time will be announced at a later time. The match went into a weather delay during the halftime break and never resumed.

Colorado Springs trailed 1-0 at the half courtesy of a goal by Charleston defender Leland Archer in the 39th minute. However, the slate will be wiped clean as the clubs will replay the match in full from the opening kickoff on Monday, the USL Championship’s website reads. Colorado Springs (9-11-7) has three matches remaining in the regular season, including Monday’s rescheduled showdown against the Battery.
