Planet Fitness in Monument, 16096 Jackson Creek Parkway, is open and the newest fitness club location will have a grand opening celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday.

As with other new Planet Fitness locations in the region, the Monument club was adapted from an existing structure, the company said. Sharing a wall with a PetSmart, the location used to house a Staples, which closed earlier this year.

As part of the event, Planet Fitness will have local snacks, host giveaways and be open to the community. The new 21,000-square-foot location offers “high value memberships, best-in-class equipment, and free fitness training,” all in what Planet Fitness calls a “judgement free” community, the company said in a news release Friday.

“Planet Fitness is the gym for all fitness levels, and we are excited to welcome the community in to grow stronger together at this new location,” said Will Delaney at Baseline, a Planet Fitness franchise division. “We encourage the local community to come check out our new Monument location and see what our unique, non-intimidating, and Judgement Free environment is all about.”

This is the sixth location in the Pikes Peak Region and joins five others within Colorado Springs. More information on Colorado Springs locations may be found on the Planet Fitness website. Information on the Monument location may also be found online.
