Veterans job fair planned Thursday at Broadmoor World Arena
Disabled American Veterans and RecruitMilitary are holding a free job fair Thursday at the Broadmoor World Arena for veterans, spouses, active duty members and members the National Guard and Reserve.
Last year at the annual jobs fair in town exhibitors extended 124 job offers, said Jeremy Yost, national employment director with the DAV. In 2023, 80 offers were extended.
The jobs fair is expected to feature 39 employers from a wide variety of industries. The fair is expecting to host employers such as the Amentum, the Drug Enforcement Administration, The Boeing Company, John Deer and Discount Tire. The job opportunities span from entry level to senior management, a news release said.
The fair will also feature career counseling and resume assistance, networking and support to apply for Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and claims assistance, the release said.
The fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Broadmoor World Arena.
