Spooky season offers something for all ages

As autumn settles in the Tri-Lakes area, kids and adults alike will find no shortage of seasonal fun. From pumpkin patches and hayrides to pirate ships and Halloween parties, there’s something for everyone this October.

Pumpkin patches

Fall Mountain Farm, located near Mount Herman at 16300 Mt. Herman Lane in Monument, offers more than just pumpkins. Visitors can explore a petting zoo in an “enchanted village” where each animal has its own cottage. They also have a hay bale maze, hayrides and kids’ games. The farm is open Thursday through Friday through Halloween weekend. In the off season they also serve as a farm animal rescue. fallmountainfarm.com.

Colorado Pumpkin Patch, on East 105 near Highway 83, is open every day through Halloween except Mondays. Families can pick pumpkins and enjoy a variety of kid-friendly activities. coloradokidsranch.com.

The Miners Pumpkin Patch, hosted at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry, runs Saturdays through October. Guests can enjoy traditional patch activities while exploring local history. minerspumpkinpatch.com.
