The drive in a fatal crash around the MLK Bypass and Circle Drive has been identified as 18-year-old Jonathan Stover, according to a release by Colorado Springs police Monday.

On Sept. 28, police responded to the incident and found two vehicles were involved. Stover at the scene and the other driver was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

There have been 44 traffic fatalities in Colorado Springs this year. In the past 12 months, there have been 54 fatalities.
