1 dead, 1 wounded in overnight shooting in northeast Colorado Springs
A shooting left one man dead and sent another to the hospital with life-threatening injuries in Colorado Springs early Sunday, according to an online blotter post by city police.
Police responded just before 2 a.m. to a shooting in the 3500 block of North Academy Boulevard, near North Union Boulevard. Officers found two victims — a man who was pronounced dead at the scene and a man with “life threatening injuries,” the blotter post states.
There was no word of an arrest, and the Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed control of the investigation.
