When will Colorado’s ski season kick off? A look at 20 years of opening dates
Snow has fallen across Colorado’s high country, and temperatures have been cold enough for some ski resorts to fire snow guns and start building up bases.
The race to open is on.
Arapahoe Basin has regularly kicked off the state’s ski season and won bragging rights. Keystone has joined the race in recent years, thanks to snowmaking upgrades. And thanks to fortuitous storms, Wolf Creek has occasionally snuck in.
