Colorado Springs police arrested a wanted man who fled when police made contact in unincorporated El Paso County on Friday, according to a blotter entry by the department.

Anthony Kent, the suspect, was located while traveling in his vehicle around Colorado Springs before parking in an alley off Security Boulevard. The entry stated police used an apprehension plan, and Kent fled on foot after they made contact.

Kent, 35, allegedly pulled out a handgun and dropped it. In addition to the handgun, police also recovered two additional handguns, one short-barreled rifle, one rifle upper and a semi-automatic shotgun, according to the entry.

Several large-capacity magazines, holsters and ammunition were also found inside the vehicle. The entry stated a locked safe with a “baggy sticking out” and a small amount of illegal narcotics were also recovered.
