New Woodland Park recovery center geared toward executives
A new addiction recovery program headquartered in Woodland Park is offering new hope to executives, entrepreneurs and professionals.
“What I’ve found is that there are few-to-almost-no places that will approach mind, body and spirit for the high-functioning, high-capacity individual,” Jack G. Smith, founder & executive director of Compass Integrative Recovery said. “If you’re feeling stuck mind, body and spirit, we’re going to take the highest clinical approach as well as the hard approach to figure out what’s going on and support you in any way we can to get better.
“Wherever you’re stuck, we want to get you unstuck, healed and then reset the vision purpose for your life.”
Compass Integrative Recovery officially opened its first facility and national headquarters in Woodland Park and began accepting clients on Aug. 11. It will host a formal ribbon-cutting and private tour event on Oct. 10 from 4:30-6 p.m. at its facility at 403 S. Baldwin Street, Suite B.
Focused on the unique needs of leaders navigating addiction, burnout or mental health challenges, Compass Integrative Recovery promises a tailored and confidential approach to intensive outpatient treatment.
“The program blends evidence-based clinical care with leadership coaching, resilience training, fitness, nutrition and integrative therapies—all designed to help clients reclaim clarity, rebuild capacity, and return to purpose-driven leadership,” the company’s press release said.
The 30-day program is designed to address circumstances unique to executives.
“Executives face a distinct kind of pressure and isolation that often goes unaddressed in traditional recovery settings,” Smith said. “We created Compass to provide a sanctuary where leaders can heal privately, rebuild authentically and re-engage powerfully—with support that understands the demands of high-stakes roles.”
The release said Woodland Park was chosen as the company’s headquarters for its natural beauty, privacy and peaceful pace — ideal for introspection and restoration.
“We are very excited that the team at Compass Integrative Recovery has chosen Woodland Park to be their first clinic location and national headquarters,” Woodland Park Mayor Kellie Case said. “Woodland Park will make an incredible setting for their program, and we look forward to the collaboration.,”
The facility will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Out-of-town patients will stay off campus, but will engage in a rigorous and immersive schedule at the facility during operating hours. Off hours allows for recreation and recharging with a focus on the person rather than the position.
The support doesn’t end when the 30-day program is over.
“We’re building a long-term care community that will support you – not just for 30 days but into perpetuity,” Smith said.
“Thirty days is the beginning of the journey.”
