Hamlow returns to WPSD in administrative role
Woodland Park School District announced the hiring of Karen Hamlow as director of academics and support services, effective Sept. 12.
Hamlow returns to the district where she previously served for nine years. She worked as an instructional resource teacher for three years and assistant principal at Woodland Park High School for six years. As assistant principal, she also took on the additional responsibility of district curriculum and assessment supervisor for one year, managing both roles simultaneously.
Most recently, Hamlow worked as director of humanities at Colorado Springs School District 11.
“We are happy to have Karen back in our district and look forward to all that she will accomplish,” interim Superintendent Ginger Slocum said.
In her new role, Hamlow will oversee academic programs and support services throughout the district.
