Fatal crash closes U.S. 24 on-ramp onto I-25 in Colorado Springs
One person is dead after a vehicle crashed into them along the MLK Jr. Bypass (U.S. 24) on-ramp onto Interstate 25 in southeast Colorado Springs early Wednesday morning, police said.
The Colorado Springs Police Department says that the northbound U.S. 24 on-ramp to I-25 has been closed since 6:30 a.m., according to a social media post by police. Delays should be expected, and the department asks commuters to seek alternative routes.
Police expect that the ramp will be closed for at least another hour, said Caitlin Ford, a spokesperson for the department.
The U.S. 24 on-ramp onto I-25 is closed Wednesday morning due to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian an vehicle.
Ford said that information is very limited as of 9 a.m., but everyone involved remained on scene and is being cooperative with the investigation.
