KBR was awarded a large military contract Monday.

The company specializes in advanced engineering, data analytics and digital integration. It was tapped by the Department of Defense to develop a collaborative engineering ecosystem in Colorado Springs.

The contract has a “not to exceed price” of $98.7 million with $5.5 million paid at the time of the award. It is expected to be completed by Sept. 7, 2028, per the Department of Defense.

The Department of Defense announcement awarded the contract to LinQuest, but because LinQuest was purchased by KBR last year, KBR will be the company executing the contract. LinQuest no longer exists and KBR received its contracts.

It will build the “Integration Accelerator,” according to the defense department’s announcement.

“Most of this work will be centered on upgrading the current space to facilitate operations of the Integration Accelerator,” said Vice President of Space Operations for KBR Brian Young. “The Integration Accelerator will provide an enterprise solution where operators, testers, trainers and acquirers can collaborate in a synergistic way to provide capabilities and address gaps across the test and training landscape.”

Space Systems Command, responsible for acquisitions, launches, development and logistics within the Space Force, is the contracting agency and work by the company will be done in Colorado Springs, the announcement said.
